[XCSSA] Buying / Making a solar powered charger?

I was hunting around Amazon today looking for a D-cell battery charger  
(apparently, C and D batteries are the battery of choice for like half  
the baby stuff we now have). There's quite a few but I also noticed  
some solar powered chargers, w00t! Trouble is, they all look kinda  
janky.

So, does anyone know of a good solar battery charger that can charge  
AA, C, and D? Preferably, one with an over-charge circuit built in?  
Or, does anyone have any places to recommend for building ones own? I  
figure the latter might be more common since the whole solar powered  
charging thing hasn't seem to have taken off all that much.

Just curious mostly :)
