[XCSSA] Want to build a SID synth but don't have time for the MB-6852?

Cool.. getting the hear of your 7805 vreg was critical.

As they should.. They're dissipating 4v x 1A = 4Watts, as opposed to just 
around 2-3Watts of the regulator.

With a PC PSU case, you should be able to get enough thermal conduction going 
to passively cool it.

Cool Tim!  Lemme know soon if you think that you'll be able to demo it.. We're 
all looking forward to it!  It's been a long time coming!  Obviously a real 
passion. :)
