In addition to professional portable video production gear (built tough
and has high price from low market size) you  can look at the handheld
or pocket TVs. Many of them have A/V inputs (practically free to include
in the design) and all run from batteries. You might even find a good
price on a used one that doesn't work with the new digital TV
broadcasts. Try the usual online discounters & auctions.
