[XCSSA] Dell Precision workstation fears...

Gene,

Dell may have their hangups, but for the most part, I and my various employers over the years, go with Dell for the Warranty service. (They may have been the first to outsource to India for tech support, but they were the first to come back to where ever those people are in Minnesota or whatever when everyone balked at the Indian-accented technicians on the phones.)

This reputation for handling warranty issues has gotten around. They sell massive volume, have pretty darn good quality, and don't have time to care that your video card is missing. they are just gonna scrap the machine. they end up on eBay after they get back to Austin. Processing the repair work is more important than the missing parts. (Finally some American company has the right idea!)

And, Gene, I seriously doubt the Precision is 5-8 grand. Relax. You are probably fine!
