Anybody have experience with DECT 6.0 cordless phones?
DECT 6.0, the American implementation of the European DECT standard
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DECT
appeals to me due to it,s base station connection options of VOIP &
Bluetooth linked cellular, in addition to land lines.
What got me going was a Best Buy online advert for a pair of
Thomson/RCA/GE DECT 6.0 cordless phone with a Bluetooth base station
(supports two cell phones) marked down to about $40. This set allows
cell phone only folks (no land line) to come home set the cellphones
down near the base station, then send/receive cell calls (either cell
phone) using the cordless phones. All DECT 6.0 phone share some common
features: 1.9 Ghz int-free, intercom, up to six handsets per system, 100
yd range, etc.
That,s all I've learned this much in the last 30 minutes. Anybody have
DECT knowledge they can share?
