I had a few of those AMD bircks for a while:

Very cool little AMD GX500 Geode proc (1Watt) x86 "PC brick".. completely
sealed.. designed for third world countries and ISPs.
The thing is (and the wiki doesn't mention this) is that even if you can get
it to boot a different media, you can't install anything else on it (like
Ubuntu) since the things runs a "Trusted Platform" chipset:
that precludes you from running anything but its special signed version of
Windows on it. Yet another sad flavor of "Digital Restrictions Management"
(as Stallman calls it).
