At first, I thought this might be the Craig-Bot... but the reference to "a 
machine that'll handle USB.. I know this MUST be John.. ;)

Well John.. You could always plug the USB into a USB/Network server.. and 
serve bootp/tfp..   That's the way you like to roll anyway.. ;)
