In 1980 I met the owner of a disco who wanted an unusual disco light
show, so I covered the ceiling of the dance floor with clusters of RGB 7
watt incandescents individually addressable by a Z-80. The disk jockey
had a keyboard, and every key had a different pattern, so he randomly
wandered around the keyboard to change the patterns. It gave him
something to do between record changes.
