The only Wordpress tool needed to keep spammers at bay is Akismet. It
comes as a standard plugin and only needs a free API key to enable
(for low traffic and non-commercial blogs). We topped 2.5 million
page views on GeekDad.com last month and only had a few spam per day
end up in moderation and none got past the filters.
