Well, back then it was much less about Microsoft, and more about
proprietary Unix distributions, so it didn't really equate to the
times. Even today, I've gotten out of the OS wars. I figure let people
do whatever they want - there's pros and cons of all OSes. That said,
I have much dislike for Bill Gates and Microsoft as well, but
fortunately, there's plenty of options for not having to use them.
Although, the argument for using Linux just to "stick it to Bill"
doesn't bear fruit. The argument should be to use Linux because it
does what you want better, or at least more cheaply.
