I'm interested in helping out on a Tesla coil project...
Hopefully build one myself next year. ;-)

I got my little 20KV @ 25KHz "plasma generator" from Ramsey to play with.
This is just a High Voltage Transformer and not a Tesla coil...
I get about a 2 inch spark on a good day and it lights up a florescent 
bulb from about 2 feet.
An interesting experiment is the "Home made CD Burner", you can see the 
arc go through the CD... ;-)

Maybe I should bring it to the next meeting...
