I did find a Tandy TRS 80 clone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TRS-80_clones

I have a feeling it was the Astor I remember, although I could swear it was of
the Commodore instead: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aster_CT-80

Hate having flashes of stuff from decades ago and can't remember the details. :)
