[XCSSA] AC Adapter Question

Thanks for the reply. 

The polarity is positive then negative on both devices. Hope its not a short in the craddle. Cradle, transmitter and headphones are brand new.

Would it make a difference if the battery was left in? 

Reluctant to try it again since it still works fine with 9 volt battery only.

  Follow-on: if the polarities of both adapters are the same, you could have a 
  pre-existing shorted component inside the craddle.

  If you have a DMM, remove the battery, and short the craddle DC input 
  contacts (discharge capacitors) then measure the resistance between the 
  positive and negative pins, then reverse the leads and measure again, and 
  let us know what the resistance is.
