[XCSSA] Best wireless router?

IMHO: I'd recommend the WRT54GL, and since your taking your
WRT54G, they can try it and see if it fits their requirements.  

I'd probably flash it to dd-wrt v24....You can spend more on the latest 
versions, but ]doubt most need it, merely a talking point.
