[XCSSA] Best wireless router?

Like many on this list, I bought a Linksys WRT54G several years ago.   
I never tried flashing it or doing anything fancy except enabling all  
the security features.

Now I'm going to be visiting my sister, and I'm going to bring my  
spare WRT54G so I can use my Mac laptop at her house.

My brother-in-law might be conviced to buy a wireless router.  The  
54G seems to have been replaced with a 54G2, and there are other  
models too.  Which should I recommend?

They use Macs exclusively.  My brother-in-law has a laptop from last  
year and my sister might get a cheap new one.  Or my sister might get  
his old laptop and he'll get a top new one.  My laptop is a titanium  
powerbook.
