4.x is the version of the current Amiga operating systems for AmigaOne computers (new motherboard/system, NOT the classic Amiga) based on a PPC processor. Since I do not run OS4 I dont know if it can run on Classic PPC based Amiga's or not. Highest revision Kickstart was 3.1.

Use softkick. Get a 3.x rom image for the Amiga 3000 and softkick it. I did that all the time and it worked great.
